We have our own tannery. We make high quality Eco-friendly leathers at a very reasonable price and work on innovations in the leather industry. The rich experience and in-depth knowledge of our team of technologists and of course the founder of the tannery who is a reputed Leather technologist himself, has enabled us to introduce new variety of leather every now and then and gain a strong foothold in domestic as well as the international markets.
Our tannery use purification systems and have a waste management system that recovers, reuses and recycles the production substances. Our tannery is spread across an area of more than 40,000 sq. ft. The capacity of the tannery is around 2 million square feet of leather annually. Our tannery boasts of the fact that we can manufacture almost any type of leather from hides of cow, buffalo and also goat. However, we are especially adept in manufacturing vegetable tanned leather, including 100% chrome free eco friendly leather from all Cow, Buffalo and Goat which is probably the most sustainable leather available and thus eco responsible as well.
ECO-FRIENDLY LEATHER
We try to have a minimum environmental impact and therefore only use a natural tanning process. Our leathers are tanned without the use of harmful chemicals like chromium. This makes our leather biodegradable. Our leather will age beautifully over time the more you use it. We use local cow hides ,Buffalo and goat hides from Kolkata, India and also from other parts of the country. We do also have the option of procuring hides from other countries and tan the same responsibly and naturally in our tannery. We believe that using vegetable tanned leather is currently the most sustainable option to produce bags that you can use for a lifetime.

We make well made and eco friendly leather (100% chrome free vegetable tanned leather) bags and accessories available to consumers made from carefully procured genuine leather and by skilled artisans who have expertise in this field, each and every product crafted at Weblec India is reflection of our passion for the craft and high quality standards we thrive to achieve every day. All the bags are made in house in our factory which has SMETA Pillar II certification standards to ensure that all operate under fair conditions.
